A VERY EDIBLE CHARLES INDEED

Did you know King Charles III is edible?

The Royal Family are not new to the artworld, throughout history art has been present - King Charles III no different, we are yet to see any official portrait of him painted as King. However, we took a look at his art in history because well - he is now Edible and we know Manns HQ loves chocolate, cookies and all things sweet!

Prince Charles has been the subject of numerous portraits by some of the most renowned artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. Some of the most notable painters who have painted him include Lucian Freud, David Hockney, and Julian Barrow, among many others.

Additionally, as a member of the British royal family, Prince Charles has been painted in many official portraits, including those commissioned by the Royal Family, the government, and various public institutions. These portraits are often displayed in public buildings, such as embassies, government offices, and public galleries, and can be seen by members of the public.

Ahead of last weeks Coronation, there was a life-sized bust created using chocolate - more than 17 litres to be exact! King Charles III in chocolate!

The sculpture made entirely of chocolate wa made by a team of Chocolatiers in Slough, firm Mars Wrigley. The project was headed by Jennifer Lindsey-Clarke using 2,875 melted Celebrations Chocolates. These include: Twix, Milky Way, Galaxy, Maltesers and Snickers.

The project took 4 weeks to create - showing him in his full uniform he was expected to wear on 6th May.

They said 'What better way to celebrate this moment in British History than using the nation's favourite sharing treat'. We definitely agree!
